New Products From Keystone Include Color Coded PCB Mount Test Points

Product Updates, Keystone Electronics

Color Coded PCB Test Mounts

Color Coded for easy identification, Keystone Electronic's new “loop type” PCB mountable terminals are an economical choice for test terminations. Featuring snap-in mounting and an integral plastic base, terminals are positively retained for wave soldering and strengthened for positive holding power.

Miniature, compact and multipurpose loop styles are available permitting non-slip, safe circuit testing using J hooks, EZ hooks, grabbers, alligator clips, tips or probes. Space saving, ultra-low and low profile designs are available to meet high density PCB applications; high profile for difficult to reach applications. Suitable for 0.062 and 0.093” PCB thicknesses (1.57mm and 2.36mm) “loop type” terminals are a practical alternative to wire-wrap posts and turret terminals.

The new colors consist of Brown, Green, Blue, Purple, Gray which, in addition the existing Red, Black, White, Yellow and Orange, may be used on .062 and .093 thick PCB'S with a variety of gripping devices. Among these are J-Hooks, EZ-Hooks, Grabbers, Alligator Clips, Tips and Probes. The new designs also serve to keep on-board terminals perpendicular to the PCB so that relative position, during and after wave soldering is maintained.

Hybrid PCB Test Mounts

Keystone Also Offering New Hybrid Mount PCB Test Point

Keystone Electronic's latest miniature Circuit Board Test Point features the ability to be mounted on a PCB via Thru-Hole or Surface Mounting methods.

Designed with a unique hybrid mounting style which maximizes the efficiency of SMT contacts with the strong and durable solder connections to a circuit board of Thru Hole mounted devices. This new Test Point has a locating pin design to provide positive location of the device during the assembly process. When installed on .032 thick boards, the locating pin can also be used as a solder point for thru-hole mounting operations.

The new Hybrid Mount PCB test Point features a symmetrical flat-wire design making it a superior anchoring point for probes, j-hooks and other circuit testing devices while minimizing shifting and damage which is common on standard posts and terminals.
